OUR DIRECTOR, DR. SEAN J. ABEL

Dr. Sean J. Abel comes to us with an extensive background in Barbershopping and music. He has sung with and directed barbershop choruses since 1989. He is an experienced music educator with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Kansas, a Master of Arts in Education from Lindenwood University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Music Education from Boston University. He also serves as our Marketing VP and Webmaster.

Sean's philosophy focuses on having fun learning how to sing well and perform with a high level of artistry. Each song embodies a story and we are the storytellers.

Sean is currently serving as a Dean of Academic Affairs and the band director at Allan Hancock College.
